Crocodiles don't have sex chromosomes. They don't do XY, they don't do ZW, they don't do XO. They've opted out of all of that, and instead sex is determined by what temperature the eggs are incubated at.

If a crocodile egg is above 32°C during incubation, it's likely it will hatch as male. If it's below 31°C, it will most likely hatch as female.

Juneteenth (June 19th) is not a "holiday celebrating when news of the end of slavery finally reached Texas." No. Just no. Y'all make it sound like network latency! Like we were playing Fortnite, and all the Black players were lagging.🤡

Juneteenth is when the racist state of Texas took another very public L. Texas did everything it could to keep slavery going as long as possible. They gave up land to Oklahoma, so they could be below the slavery line. The Alamo was a victory for abolitionists.

Always three there are: a master, an apprentice, and for some reason a baby.

As we were gearing up for a mission in my space campaign, the fact that my character is an uplifted capybara raised a question: which way would a capybara wear pants?

I dodged the question by selecting a velour jumpsuit. Also deely boppers, because why not.

Inside of you are two wolves. Behind one of them is a tiger. The other one always lies.

`git blame` tells who put a line of code the way it is, but I need `git wtf` to tell me why 😩

In underreported news, the EPA reversed a Trump-era decision on plastic processing, which closes a major loophole that allowed the chemical industry to pass off toxic disposal as sustainable recycling. It isn’t.

Elections affect who runs the EPA. That also matters.

Remember: the cultural heritage of America isn't only white supremacy, sexism, racism, bigotry, and capitalist greed. Our heritage is ALSO abolitionists, labor unions, civil rights, women's suffrage, environmental activism, etc.

Don't look at history just to find the mistakes. You can also look at history to find the victories and inspiration. We stand on the shoulders of generations of people working together towards a more perfect union. Sure, there's a whole lot of shit that's fucked up, but there's a whole lot of people who are also going out there every day to try and fix stuff too.
