It’s REALLY important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally AGAINST downtown bike-lanes, later became one of their most vigourous supporters, because of EVIDENCE that bike-lanes are better for downtown business than any street parking they replace.

Here's the whole ad, as a thread:
2-4 year postdoc position working with tree sequences at the University of Oregon.
We seek a postdoc for a collaborative, computational project to develop and apply cuttin edge computational methods in genomics; in particular working with the growing ecosystem of population genetics tools based on the “succinct tree sequence” data structure.

Does anyone know what kind of hummingbird this is?

Well, that's fun. Unity is changing the timestep settings on its own. Sometimes while the game is running.
The words "timestep" and "TimeManager" do not appear anywhere in our code, including third-party assets.
The best bugs are nondeterministic bugs in the platform. 😐

@JeremyMallin I see a good number of posts in Asian languages in the federated feed, but I don't know what country the posters are in.
@scott I usually just put it in my front yard with a "free" sign and it's gone in a day.

Hi @scott -
I've used Craiglist and others in the fam have used https://www.freecycle.org/town/PortlandOR . This time of year, for Craigslist I've listed what's available and left it in an accessible spot, and removed the listing when the stuff disappeared. A little harder in the rainy season....

@lowqualityfacts A related (higher-quality) fact:
This year's "Dakar Rally" goes from AlUla to Yanbu, both in Saudi Arabia.
Dakar is in Senegal, over 8000 km away.
The 2019 rally was held in South America.
