@robertkaplinsky@twitter.com I used to keep mine vertical in the marker tray (point down) for this reason! Nothing is worse than a dried out marker!

I had no idea you could do this to take a dead whiteboard marker and give it life again!

For the past few summers, it's hit the 80's in Anchorage. This is TERRIBLE for the ecosystem Everything dries out and wildfires just rip through the state.
This is not normal.
This is not safe.
This is the direct result of climate change. https://twitter.com/NorthWestSec/status/1147143930498170882
Using the new Surface Pro 6, this still seems to be good advice. Another reason: when scrolling through a long page, there's no scrollbar in tablet mode to locate you in the page. https://zd.net/2KYdgVO via @ZDNet@twitter.com & @jkendrick@twitter.com

Having overcome the initial frustration with the controls, I'm proceeding with The Long Dark. The winter storms are very atmospheric. As in a dungeon crawl, one of the agonizing decisions is making the most of your finite carrying capacity.

It should honestly be illegal to require a notarized letter to let me leave the mormon church. If they're going to claim my membership was based on a legal contract, it should have been voided based on the fact that it was made under duress when I was an 8-year old.

Florida brought back the poll tax, and now Georgia has reinvented the old trivia-based literacy tests. Unreal. https://twitter.com/politicalinsidr/status/1146126306221928449

Imagine believing that everyone having health care is tyranny but tanks in the street is a celebration of freedom.
The game IS pretty, and now I know the conventions. We'll see.
I'm back on track now, because each quest completed causes a new building to appear in an area that I already tediously explored.
In other news, I'm not a fan of the "this action takes time and you can't do anything but wait for it" mechanism.
Made another foray into The Long Dark. Quests? None outstanding. Turns out I had to go finish a conversation with the person who said "say the wrong thing and I'll shoot you" by asking them about their gun. In fact, turns out you HAVE to fully explore dialog trees.
