Happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!

To celebrate, I'm giving away a copy of my card game Siva Afi: The Fireknife Dance of Samoa.

Boost to be entered in the drawing.

I'd also be interested in meeting any other fire dancers on Mastodon.

trying to follow this instruction:

talk about the things you love, even if you think nobody cares.

people won't ask for it at least at first, but some of them will care

and it's attractive to see someone talk about the things they love.

let go of the notion that it's worthless if you don't get a minimum number of listeners, reactions, replies.

practice caring publicly about the things you care about.

I think this is a good reminder for me. I never liked being shy anyway

A medicine that makes you put two dots over your letters more often is a diäretic.

Back from a few days at a lakefront house at the coast. The weather was clear and mild until it was time to leave. The rain thoughtfully moved in on the last night to make us less sad about going home.

Write Freely is another type of server on the Fediverse

Its focus is entirely on long form text posts, so things like articles, essays, stories etc. It has a very minimalist interface which aims to be as distraction-free as possible, so that it's easier for readers to actually read.

You can follow Write Freely accounts from Mastodon etc because they are both on the Fediverse.

There's more info on the official site at https://writefreely.org and you can follow the project at @writefreely

You can get a Write Freely account from servers listed at https://writefreely.org/instances or at https://fedidb.org/software/writefreely

There are official apps at https://writefreely.org/apps

We carefully sampled the general population and found that most people are familiar with acquiescence bias.

I Don't Exercise (my city does that for me, but for realz!)

I used to write other stuff in the description that introduced the video, but hardly anybody reads it anyway, especially now that YouTube has made it even harder to find in the new UI.

At least you can come here for references if you're really determined.
