Why is #youtube the default platform for how-to information?

I have the opposite problem, dyslexia, so I appreciate *concise* videos, as least for some things. Text is good if you already know everything except for one step, for example, then you can scan and find what you need.
@photosniperfox I totally agree, text is just more accessible(assuming its designed in a way to work good with screenreaders anyways)! Also its just way faster to extract the information you want from a text then from someone talking
