I especially like this graphic which clearly illustrates the contents you'd expect in the traditional sections with a simple, understandable example. The contrast between "results" and "discussion" is really clear here! I wish they had a "conclusion" too though.

Intro post. I am a physics professor at a community college in northern Nevada USA. I am also the director of the Jack C Davis Observatory.
