Given that its most common use is to dunk on people, I find in practice I don't miss quote-tweeting. There's something very passive-aggressive about it a lot of the time. Also, i don't miss the tendency for high-follower accounts to use it in place of replying.
@berndporr @ottocrat @GlasgowLovesEU That is to put it mildly an elaboration on your part of anything I've actually said. I said I don't miss a feature based on ways I've seen it used. However I did however say "most common use". That was indeed inexact. I'll change that to "the use that leaves the most overwhelming impression on me." I'm going to disengage now because you're obviously upset.
@pieist @ottocrat @GlasgowLovesEU Thank you.
@pieist @ottocrat @GlasgowLovesEU Do you have any proof for that except that it appears to be a religious belief here? Apart from giving context, for example to our live streams it also does that what the web is good for: cross referencing -- in a good way. After all you are assuming with prejudice that people will use #quotetweets in a malucious way. My experience running multiple social media accounts does not confirm an overall malicious intent when #quotetoot. Quite the opposite.
