I love this frozen food package that says, "Cook on high for 16 minutes 10 seconds." And I'm thinking to myself, "10 seconds? Did Spock write these instructions?"

@lauren It's always funny when he uses a precision far shorter than the time it takes him to speak the sentence. If I'm Kirk the ship probably gets destroyed while I'm trying to get him to clarify whether it's measured from the time he made the calculation, began the sentence, finished the sentence or somewhere in between.

@pieist This is why we ended up not using my concept for a computerized calculation tablet for Spock in the first Trek film ("Star Trek: The Motion Picture" -1979). I got fairly far along with this before we suddenly realized "Wait a minute. He's Spock! He doesn't need a stinkin' calculation tablet!"

@lauren He's having you on anyway.

Kirk: Our odds of success don't seem very favorable...
Spock: Seventeen point four two six percent, to be precise.
McCoy: You just say shit like that because you know nobody's going to check you on it, right?

@lauren Blast your Vulcan logic!

(I always like how "Vulcan" sounds like something else the way he uses it as an adjective)
