This red-haired 21 year old Russian woman, was sentenced to 6 and a half years in prison for reposting someone's criticism of Putin's war on Ukraine.
The smiling Saudi woman was sentenced to 34 years in a Saudi prison for a tweet asking for the release of a woman political prisoner who's in jail for demanding that women have the right to drive.
So maybe we should at least show up for demonstrations.

They continually deflect to a false -- or at least irrelevant -- dichotomy of "left" vs. "right". But DeSantis et al share this with the likes of Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot as well: they didn't like people knowing things either. No tyrant or totalitarian will tolerate an alternative narrative to the one they're spinning. This also goes for Adolf H. and pretty much every theocracy ever.
