Spent a couple solid hours starting to plan out telescope plan to re-capture the most possible trans-Neptunian objects one year after we first discovered them (they don't all move the same speed/direction on-sky so have to use more telescope pointings to get them all 1 year later).

Here's how a few hundred TNOs move over the course of a year (and yes, the labels are correct, their on-sky positions relative to background move forward and backward again)

@sundogplanets Hot tip: If you stand up by the objective lens you can kind of wave more light into the telescope with your hands. A bit like when a chef wafts the aroma from a saucepan towards his nose.
