By far the best thing you can personally do for the environment is talk about it, agitate for systemic change, support your local activists and push the boundaries of what is politically acceptable so we can get rid of the need for dinosaur juice as soon as possible.

The second best is live car-free.
Third is car-lite.

Then there's your personal consumption choices, which DO matter but not nearly as much as system change.

We need to make it socially unacceptable to fly in a private jet, for example. It needs to be shameful, not a symbol of status and success.

That is far more important than your personal so-called "Carbon Footprint".

(unless you do fly in a private jet in which case: WTF? You need to stop you ecocidal loser!)
