And I think it's actually kind of sad that people keep asking. It implies that the only possible love of science is one leading to a science career.

....and doesn't this LIMIT the love of science so much?

You can love art and not be an artist right? Everyone can love art. You can love reading and not write.

But you can't love science unless you're a scientist? 🧪

Maybe we can love science without doing it. We can respect scientific findings and knowledge without being scientists.

The idea that if you like science you MUST be a scientist tells us that most people do not perceive science that way.

@beebrookshire Wouldn't it also imply that even a scientist can't love any science they're not credentialed in? I mean heaven forfend that a microbiologist love astronomy.
