In The Iraq War, 40 countries stood side by side with the USA to ensure Saddam was removed.
We Europeans fought in Iraq, not because WE felt threatened, but because a Republican President in the US told us, HE felt threatened.
Today, we feel threatened by Russia. Not because of a flawed intelligence report on weapons of mass destruction, but because Putin is killing Ukrainians on the battlefield every day.
And at this critical moment, Republicans want to hold back the aid?
Shame on them.
@randahl@mastodon.social sad thing is Iraq is not part of the UN OR NATO. Russia is so they are scared of drawing in the rest of the countries part of it. Sadder still is it will probably get drawn in anyways in one for or another. As Russia has no respect for international law. Putin's gonna make a mistake and BOOM, WW3 will be upon us.
