so starting yesterday I'm wearing 👓 and suddenly my view went from old CRT and 640x480 resolution straight to 4K LED 🙃

I had the same experience when I got my glasses! I finally didn't have to guess anymore if it was $x_1, x_i, x_j$!
Getting used to went faster than I expected based on the first day. And while my prescription hasn't changed for the last 7 of 8 years, I really hate seeing without glasses now.
