Why do airlines think that leaving the lights on in an overnight flight is a good idea? I really don't get it ... especially now that I travel with kids, but also before actually ...

@preibischs I once had a Thai Airways flight from Delhi to Bangkok. 3.5h, but because of the time difference it was midnight -> 6am. You’d think they’d prioritise sleep from takeoff to landing, right? Nope! Meal service, bright lights, “Sir please lift your seat back for the meal service.” This was 10y ago and I am still livid!
@preibischs In my experience most dim the cabin lights quite low. Curious what airline this is.
