@maxkennerly What is the point of life advice from young people? Even before he claimed to have quit Goldman Sachs after 15 months of 17-hour days, he had no way of knowing whether his try-hard approach to work would result in anything other than a mediocre career.
It's possible that successful and happy older people will have forgotten what they went through to get there, or that the world has changed enough that their memories are no longer applicable, but there's a better chance of wisdom from those who've lived closer to a full life than someone just starting out.
@pwinn @maxkennerly I went to high school with someone who rebranded as a life coach in their early 30s. Trouble is they still lived with their wealthy parents and hadn't ever really had a real job. It was hard to know what exactly what they were drawing on to provide advice.
