@malwaretech I think there's an objective benefit to living in the country you're born in and have citizenship in. Immigrating anywhere is pretty hard in ways that people born in that place don't have to deal with.

Whether that benefit outweighs the trouble of the specific country in question is a harder question.

For those who decide to leave the US, you should know that you still have to pay income taxes to the US no matter where you live, forever!

So that kinda sucks. I don't think the UK does the same thing.

@pwinn @malwaretech Not forever, only so long as you don't renounce your citizenship. Which itself is a multi-thousand dollar, multiple appointment affair. That said, there are also some limited exceptions to that depending on your income and other factors.
