@oliphant By the way, part of why I'm paying so much attention to this again is that I learned that hachyderm.io's well-maintained blocklist administrator *did* listen to appeals and moved qoto from blocked to silenced and then removed it from the list completely. And yet some kind of mastodon bug means that we're still effectively blocked or silenced, because apparently the entire system doesn't allow for being less-strict, only more-strict!
