The DOJ's case against Google wraps up and I can't picture this case going against Google.

Stopping Google from paying Apple, Firefox and others from making it the default search hurts all those companies more than Google and feels like infringing on their ability to do business.

You can't do business with Google because they are a monopoly seems both unprecedented and unreasonable.

Curious to see how this plays out.

The decision wouldn’t say “you can’t do business with Google,” and those companies aren’t the ones on trial.

The question is whether Google’s payments are anti-competitive, that’s all. The sheer size of them payments suggests they very much are, but there were enough details in the conflicting expert testimonies that I won’t predict which way the judge will go.
