@trinsec It's very proud of its 4-core AMD Ryzen CPU and 32GB of RAM, so why not? 😜
@trinsec I also see docker images for Pixelfed, as well as a few other ActivityPub projects. Hmmm...
@trinsec And yes, point to you for recall: https://hub.docker.com/r/thatonecalculator/calckey
@trinsec I'll take a look around. I have to admit, I was focused on writing some Go code until I stumbled across the page above, *not* in pursuit of anything Fediverse-related, but in pursuit of tuning my NAS! For all I know there are docker images of everything out there and I just haven't looked!
@trinsec I am aware of both, but there is not (so far as I know) an easy docker stack install for Akkoma or Misskey for my NAS.
I've been noodling around with some Golang ActivityPub libraries, since I'd prefer Golang over Elixir or Ruby or Javascript, but the idea of a near-pushbutton install is still appealing.
It’s tempting to install Mastodon on my NAS just to have a single-user server to play around with. Apparently it’s as easy as 1, 2, uh, 27!

I’m not entirely sure what I would do with such a thing, and that box is already busy running a few other things, but it’s a nice option to have at my fingertips. Plus I already have a wildcard SSL cert, so I can skip quite a few steps!
@m @carnage4life The article says that’s no coincidence: the CEO of Barnes & Noble is the same person who turned Waterstones around!
@bryantd This is quite a one-two punch, since I missed your first post on the subject.
Criminal justice is rarely just, and even when it is, it is really hard to feel satisfied. I know I should be glad when justice is served, I know I should. It’s just hard.

Catching up on “Work Later, Drink Now” inspired a powerful craving for Korean fried chicken today.
I think it’s important to repeat: you don't "have something to hide" when you put blinds on your windows or close the door when you're on the can or wear clothes.
Privacy isn't about having something to hide. It's not about keeping secrets. It's about you being the person who chooses what you reveal about yourself, and when, and to who, and the other word we have for that is "dignity". Your inherent dignity, as a human being.
Your privacy is the agency you have over your dignity.
I spent Christmas with my family, and had a lovely time. My Christmas list had only one thing on it, but I was still delighted to receive it.
This Hobonichi Techo 2023 notebook is where I plan to note my #dungeon23 progress in the coming year. I hope.
