Cool, I'm not sure validating the molecular structure is a good idea: the logic will get extremely complicated and it will break down as soon as someone wants to draw some inorganic coordination complexes.
If you keep going this could become a good alternative to chemsketch!

I'm a UI designer, maybe I'll take a deeper look at your project, however I don't like working in UI outside of contracts as well...

I'd be happy to get it to the point where it could be an alternative to something like chemsketch, but I need to get some help with UI / UX design as I legit suck at that 😅
I'm going to probably add the ability to add custom elements that don't validate, for those edge cases. My long term goal is to try to get a nice chemical model working in the background that is as accurate as possible, so it could also serve educational purposes, not just drawing.
