I'm grateful that my grandparents left me a house, but why did they have to buy one in an LCOL area? Makes moving to any of the HCOL areas I actually like a real uphill climb, especially compared to all the privileged people who say "just downsize to a cheaper area!" Blech.

Can't help but think my whole life is just sad. All my family are dead, estranged, or I have a bad relationship with them. Hardly ever meet anybody I can even stand to befriend, let alone fall in love with. And I haven't made nearly as much of myself as I hoped to by age 28.

I have no one I truly connect with I see regularly who cares about me. Sure, I know a lot of people who fill one or at best two parts of that, but not all three. And I don't even have enough money to drown my sorrows, just enough to taste fine living before the rug's pulled out.
