@operaimmagine tried this and the OCR function does not work for me on the OS and browser combo I am using. Will try to find time to figure out what is wrong...
@rdaily Just tried it, and it didn't get text from the picture for me either. What you can do is select "edit" on a post without alt text , remove the image, re-upload it to the same post, write a description of the picture and publish it again.

@rdaily Click on “edit” after uploading your image to write a description. You can also select which part of the picture will be visible in the preview crop!
