“Some of my friends and I have jokingly called this the inverse law of democracy: the more often the term "People" appears in a country's name, the less the country cares about its people. In the case of the DPRK, the word "people" appears thrice, once in Greek, once in Latin, once in English.” – Jörg W Mittag [[https://politics.stackexchange.com/questions/60190/how-is-north-korea-democratic-if-theres-only-one-party-with-one-ideology#:~:text=Some%20of%20my%20friends%20and%20I%20have%20jokingly%20called%20this%20the%20inverse%20law%20of%20democracy:%20the%20][Source]]
@nolan @portpupper The issue is that they’re all sticks. Apple tries to include carrots too: emoji, Memoji, camera filters and blur effects. They drip-feed cosmetic features to keep people updating and wanting the latest and greatest. It’s mostly marketing but it does ensure everyone gets the security updates along the way

My vacuum cleaner should have its filters cleaned every 5 empties. Who is going to remember to do that? Could they really not have included a tiny battery that trickle-charges when it’s being used and once it’s full simply lights an LED? Surely that would be a big UX improvement for an inconceivably small additional cost

Dear desktop #softwaredevelopers everywhere: please stop forcing your application to the foreground upon start. Even though I want your application to start, I promise you it is LESS important than the text box in which I am typing RIGHT NOW. Especially if that is a password box or something. You have no way of knowing what I'm doing while I wait for your app and you should NOT make any assumptions.
