I love that German Mastodon sometimes calls toots Tröts. It's the correct translation, but nobody called a tweet a Tschirp.

@sophieschmieg amusingly enough, the exact opposite is true in Polish (I did hear ćwirk or ćwit many times, but don't recall any variation of trąb) if you consider nouns.
