I feel like even the people who dislike Musk are putting too much stock into the genius supervillain narrative. It's highly unlikely he's slowly executing some pre-thought out plan to shift Twitter far right. He's a naïve socially-inept billionaire manchild who got radicalized by a bunch of alt-right grifters. It's a simple as that. No master plan, no 4d chess, just someone who never underwent any real emotional developed.
@malwaretech People like to believe that there are big causes behind big outcomes. The big cause for his wealth "feels" like he must be competency, and the big cause for his failures feels like it must be "intentionality."
@JoeUchill yeah, I get a lot of comments like "he's the richest man in the world, he must be at least somewhat smart" like he didn't yolo his entire net worth betting on companies that only barely survived bankruptcy due to extreme government subsidy.
