@zakalwe @StillIRise1963 I think there’s a lot of this mentality. We’re (hm, “we” = white middle class?) Raised to with that “American exceptionalism” driven into us - we’re special, have a divine right, etc etc. Obviously we’ll be rich and famous. 🙄
My experience in life has been that anyone who thinks "the rules don't apply to me because I am better than everyone else" is an asshole. Plain and simple.
That is what American exceptionalism is.
If your sense of worth is based on where you are born, you are really pitiful.
"What piece of dirt on this planet were you randomly born on?
Does that entitle you to more or less life, or compassion or justice?"
