The white power elite want all other white people in the U.S. to remain under their thumbs. Racism is how they accomplish that goal. Reject it, and you reject them and their control over YOU.
@StillIRise1963 there are so many ways that white people hurt themselves by buying into the “at least I’m better than…” narrative. It’s pathetic to say the least. Pools have been closed, public schools defunded & closed… so many ways white people hirt themselves
@Danetteb Yep. You're absolutely right. Biting the nose to spite the face is what's happened here. It all leads to this moment.
I would kind of like to revisit the 3/5 compromise. Since Blacks were only 3/5 of a person for the first 100(?) years of the republic, how about having white votes count for only 3/5 of a vote for the next 100 years?
If this had been the law for the last 40 to 50 years, we would be in a much better place now.

"Parking for Afro-American Only."
