I had a paper rejected where we used published approaches on real world data and showed that none of them worked at all.

I found that this advanced the art by showing that a decades worth of literature was not only not reproducible, but wrong.

Reviewers rejected it since the approaches did not show statistically interesting results, which was my point.

This is in computer engineering.

(As an aside Musk also makes transphobic public comments in spite of having a trans kid)

I doubt that people going to a Chappelle show are extremely "woke" and obsessed with political correctness.

Musk seems to have caught the right wing "I am a victim in spite of the fact that I AM INCREDIBLY privileged" trope. Which is feeding into his free speech means only allowing voices that adore me stance.

Head of the legislature in my state explained (this is no lie) that the poor are like rats. If you feed them they reproduce and make more. So you should not give free school lunches.

Wealth distribution is only bad when it goes from those with too much money to those without enough money. Robbing from the poor to give to the rich is good for the poor. We all know that.
