I tried to "quote toot" their cry for help.
Today, you can choose not to drive a Tesla if you don’t want Elon Musk, Inc. knowing everywhere you go.
Tomorrow, you might have to limit where you live because you won’t live in a Google Home and reconsider having 20/20 vision again in exchange for the artificial lens company seeing everything you see.
Privacy is not something you can “vote with your wallet” on. We either protect it as a human right or we lose it altogether.

Have you used Birdhunt.co
Just tested it with this topic and seems useful (have used for multiple other topics and have found to be useful)
Need to be logged into a Twitter account to use
For privacy can use with a research account versus a personal account.

Are we really doing hostage videos on social media now?
@valhalla @diegor @calmlyballistic
JOVE? Emacs w/o LISP?
I suppose anything that runs lynx would be OK.
@GustavinoBevilacqua @calmlyballistic @bedlam @malwaretech
I had a colleague whose favorite game was figuring out what would happen if someone's name was used as a TECO macro.
The original emacs was programmed as TECO macros.

OK. We can compromise. Internet access only via EMACS or VI.
Is that a deal?
@GustavinoBevilacqua @calmlyballistic @bedlam @malwaretech
You should give it as an IPV6 address and port number.
Just so long as you do not make it a CAPTCHA. I hate those.
I want to go back in time and kill the infant Tim Berners Lee and guy that invented the CAPTCHA. It would make our life much better. The original sin was making the Internet accessible to ordinary people.
We should make the Internet only accessible via EMACS.
@GustavinoBevilacqua @calmlyballistic @bedlam @malwaretech
No, no, no. We should express everything as logs and power series.
Although, Berlekamp and Conway's Surreal Numbers really are the best numbering system I found. Basing a language on that would be the absolute best.
@calmlyballistic @GustavinoBevilacqua @bedlam @malwaretech
My favorite was when telephone numbers were six digits and given as a set of 3 two digit numbers, forcing you to transpose each of the two digit numbers to write it down.
A system almost designed to cause problems.
But, to be honest, the French expressing 99 as (4*20) + 19 really is more exquisitely bizarre.
@GustavinoBevilacqua @bedlam @malwaretech Germany also has some oddities with numbers.
@malwaretech I have bad news for you about French...
Since Musk said he will ban from the birdshite anyone who doxes,doesn't
Mean that Musk now has to ban Twitter from itself?
UK Politics, Sunak
But, how else can you have parties while the country is in lockdown? Next thing you will be saying something silly, like mandating unpaid for tax breaks for the ultra-rich would damage your credit rating.
