some quotes I noted down for myself:
depression is not an illness - it is a symptom of a problem.
you cannot think your way out of it - the depression is a legitimate reaction to your surrroundings and unaddressed internal issues. The cure is physical and / or environmental.
as soon as you're given a diagnosis it becomes your identity - and it shouldn't! nowadays there is merch, communities, gadgets, monuments, gigs etc. clustered around the issue. It does not help.
procrastination is a _fear_ response. If I do this something bad will happen. Suboptimal effort at self-protection.
shadows are formed when light is blocked. Shadow intelligence - are you in touch with *all* aspects of your personality - including the parts you hate.
step one: it's fixable.
step two: can you identify a benefit behind your bad habits etc.
step three: what are you willing to do *today*. don't think too far. small wins!
