why linux is awesome - the terminal
made a shell script to move my photos from my laptop, to my yunohost server which has a RAID1 drive attached to it.
now if i could only automate getting photos off of my phone. that part i still have to do manually.
thank you everybody for the thoughts.
i've written out my options and will have a think on it. i'd like to go with the NextCloud option, since I'm already using NC but need to figure out this database quirk.

@tootbrute I recently migrated to NextCloud and love the service. Being still on Android, until Librem 5 comes out, means the NC app takes care of photo backup from my phone. Also love the webdav NC service as I can sync my PDF references from Zotero.
