Here’s the thing: America totally should have de-escalated after 9/11. Calamity multiplied when we did not. All our allies, including Israel, should have told us to de-escalate. Neither engaging in nor cheering for fight-or-flight reaction has anything to do with leadership. #israel #hamas #hamasattack
