I hate anyone who makes a commercial with a door bell sound in it. Got all the kids in bed and asleep before 11pm for the first time in ages, and some shitty ad on tv plays that sound and my dog goes crazy and starts howling at the front door.
@seedyh This is what made us entirely give up on supporting our local radio station. One ad full of doorbell noises to run screaming back to the BBC and blissful adlessness

A truly "smart TV" would identify and selectively mute such things.... and the best use of "AI" I can think of would be to warn me how much of certain noises occur in the TV show I'm about to watch.

There was a pet insurance advert playing on my radio last weekend.
The gist was that they were the best in the biz, because they truly understand the challenges of being a pet owner.
All the while, they were playing a backing track of barking dogs.
@seedyh I share this hate for doorbells and ringtones in *anything* - I can’t hear where they’re coming from, so my brain places them ✨wherever✨and that’s inevitably super confusing.
