The idealism of youth is an amazing thing. Google’s founders used to write essays about how immoral search results full of ads were and people used to call Microsoft “evil” because you couldn’t download the source code for Windows or Office.

It all seems so quaint now.

Firstly, I'd just like to say thank you to all the people who have liked, boosted and commented on my images, and to all the new followers I have. It's rather humbling. 😊

Today's shot comes from a magical day in the Scottish #Highlands, a few years ago, when I was photographing red squirrels.

These charming characters are incredibly agile and can jump great distances between trees.

Here I managed to capture one as it appears to be flying down my lens.

@JasonStiff to be fair, I've watched humans do the same thing when trying to use software that was supposedly "dummy-proof"

@chad they must have poor sight lines out the right and left windows as well, because I think there's a better shot of seeing an Abrams tank parked between the lines of a parking spot than seeing one of those oversized trucks do it.

Happy #BlackHistoryMonth !

You know the drill by now. I don't like talking about Black history. Americans know Black history. I want to talk about white American history. In other words, racism, and the erasure of both positive achievements of, and injustices suffered by, non-white people. That's what people don't know.

Try this: Ask your white US friends what the statue of liberty celebrates.

Now ask your Black friends. Or French folk of any color.

God: 8 hours. Completely unconscious and immobile.

Angel: And then they wake up completely refreshed?

God: No.

@joe an unused bag of salt in the garage in May is far less stressful than needing salt you don't have in February.

This is a throwback to a magical #winter morning in 2021.

I don't typically include man-made objects in my images, but as I was walking to some of my favourite local ancient trees, I noticed the mist gathering under the bridge.

Upon dropping down to the shore of the Broadwater, I realised that the sun would rise behind the bridge. Then the magic unfolded shortly after a flock of geese flew over me and landed on the water.

A thing about ADD is you can be looking directly into someone's eyes while they're talking, brainstorming about all the ways you can become a better listener
