@LadyDragonfly when I lived outside of NYC, I didn't think I had a strong opinion on bagels. Now that I live down south, I realize that I definitely do.
Waiting for the Hallmark Christmas movie where the woman goes back to her small Midwest hometown and realizes she absolutely made the right choice getting the hell out of there to a place where she's happy and creatively fulfilled and has complete bodily autonomy in the big city and also the city has better coffee and bagels.
@codinghorror When I was 14 or so, someone I knew handed me “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” instead of “Atlas Shrugged,” and, man, do I owe them.
@carnage4life I inherited responsibilities for a system that used visual source safe as its database. It was constantly getting corrupted and I had to run the repair process. Sometimes it couldn't be repaired and we just lost the data a partial days worth of data.
@TPushic the worst game I saw live was early 2000s against the Texans. Pitt held them to under 100 yards on offense and the Texans still crushed them. Multiple interceptions and fumbles returned for tds by hou. The offense this year is bringing back memories of that game...
@SeaGoatGirl yeah, they won games they had no business winning. Now they're losing games they should win. It all even out in the end and they'll probably end up with a record right about where it should be.
