About 4 months ago, I started the process of getting solar panels installed at my house. Four months of HOA applications, insurance paperwork, government permits, and equipment upgrades from my electric company.

Finally, this evening, the stars aligned, and I finally got all my approvals, and the system was activated. I am finally ready to start getting my electricity right from the sun....

and then I looked at the weather forecast

I have never once in my life thought to myself, "You know, I think I'd like to get a jigsaw puzzle out and work on it. "

But if anyone else in the house starts a puzzle, I can not stay away from it.

It is Friday night. Everyone else in the family is asleep, so it is dead quiet in the house. I'm sitting by the fireplace with a glass of whiskey.

This is a good way to end a really shitty week that started off the new year
