The goal of software is to solve people’s problems. Writing code is just a means to that end and the nature of writing code will continue to evolve over time.
Expertise in a particular language is valuable but not a guarantee that those skills will be valuable forever.
First year in Savannah I noticed the dragonflies liked to rest on the plant stakes.
So now, every summer, we put out a dozen plant stakes, just for the dragonflies.
