#Running in winter in #Hamburg drives home the distribution of priorities of public city services. Every road for cars is clear, most bike paths are like glass and virtually no foot path is cleared of ice. Running is slow and challenging – but doable for me.

Those even slightly disabled and everyone riding a bike risk serious bodily harm under those conditions. Good to know that car traffic runs entirely unimpeded. At least the ambulances can get to all the preventable injuries quite fast.
