The GOP has introduced a bill to EXPEL Palestinians from the United States. I cannot read such things without remembering what happened to my own family after Pearl Harbor. After we and 120,000 other Japanese Americans were incarcerated in prison camps for years, without charge or trial, my own mother was very nearly expelled to Japan because of racial prejudice and hatred. Only the brave actions of a civil rights attorney saved her from being sent away. #NeverAgain

Net de ravage uit mijn voortuin opgeruimd. Meest hopen met bladeren die zich er hadden opgestapeld na die windvlagen deze week. Zal ongetwijfeld weer nieuwe ladingen met bladeren inwaaien, maar voor nu is het weer even gefatsoeneerd. Zo hou ik het een beetje onder controle tot alle bomen kaal zijn (en die hoge bomen zitten nog helemaal vol en zijn pas in december kaal). Ik zal er wel spijt van krijgen (onderrug), maar ik kan niet stilzitten, ook al loop ik als een oud mannetje.

Oktober 2022: de grote vogeltjessite exodus.
Ik was met Mastodon aan 't bricoleren en merkte dat er nog geen Belgische instance was.
Andere instances kreunden onder de druk van de exodus.
2 november 2022 heb ik mastodon-belgium.be geregistreerd om deze instance op te draaien.
"Als test, we zien wel waar we uitkomen en of 't volk trekt."
Wat een ritje was 't zeg !
We zijn een jaar verder en het gaat wat minder hectisch dus ik doe met plezier er nog enkele jaartjes bij 🙂
