Had an interesting experience today - I went to YouTube and started unsubbing from all the oldest channels I had subscribed to. Here's what I saw:-
1. A lot of the channels I saw were basically dead, their last uploads being 5-10 years ago. Felt weirdly sobering, like I've gotten old and seen people abandon fledgeling careers.
2. A lot of channels were cleaned out and moved to second channels.
3. A lot of people rebranded to RW content - unsuccessfully - and then left their channel anyway.
@mehluv I did that to some extent a few days back (not thoroughly though), and also realised how my interests have changed over the time.
Kind of felt the same while unsubscribing to some old podcasts.
@shibaprasad yeah I need to do the same with podcasts too, they end up taking the majority of my time with headphones and I only ever properly keep up episode-by-episode with two.
