@truthsandwich I look forward to any replies. I have the same question. I've barely scratched the surface of Mastodon's features like lists and circles.
@truthsandwich I guess I should mention that I have set up hashtag filters for #HamRadio and #MorseCode that appear to be working well.
@shuttersparks So far, what I've done is pin a column for politics or news. I've also followed individuals, and they show up in my Home column. But I also see other people in there and I'm not sure why.
@truthsandwich Been reading. I see I have much to learn. I've never ventured beyond the single-column default layout with column switching. Tomorrow I'll plunge into it and see what kind of mess I can make. I have a wide display. Might as well use it.
@truthsandwich Funny thing is, about a week ago I was mulling how I might adjust the layout more to my liking and wondered if I should use Stylus like I do to fix MeWe's layout. Hahaha. Without even considering Mastodon's built-in options.
Typical programmer mentality. "Hmm, I don't like this. Gimme the source code," without even checking for options. Lmao.
@truthsandwich @shuttersparks how do you pin a column?
Click on a hashtag so the rightmost column filters it. Then pin that column by clicking on the three sliders thing on the top right and then the "+ Pin".
@shuttersparks Multiple columns are definitely worth it, if only to keep Home and Notifications on the same page, with room for the right-most column that changes.
