@lauren I can't believe they're not doing it now, surreptitiously. You're scanned every time you walk past a federal building and by most police cars.
On the police cars here I count 8 cameras that are running all the time.
@shuttersparks I have to assume there is some going on surreptitiously but not necessarily as much as might be thought, since the risk of illicit usage getting exposed can be a real career killer these days.
@lauren True. I would imagine the footage from all that stuff is uploaded to some facility in Utah or someplace, and processed there. The government has always known waaay more than they admit to. Usually, they can't use what they know to prosecute crimes because they'd have to reveal what they know. Haha.
