Due to US policy over the past year, the largest, most resource rich country in Europe now loves America more than any ally did after WW2.
Spend a month in Kyiv as an American and you'll see what I mean.

Ukraine is basically going to be the next Germany and the more USA helps them win, the stronger our partnership with them will be in every way.
Having an incredibly strong ally in that location will be a major help for the US.
