Ok, so @SrRochardBunson and @LGsMom if you ever want to get up to speed on the absolute best possible way, you really want to check out “the Long Island cw club.” They give #MorseCode classes for all skill levels all through the week. They’re taught by the best guys around, and it costs like $30 a year to join, and you get access to everything.

And for practice and just plain enjoyable QSOs there's SKCC. I highly recommend it. All 27,000 of us are dedicated to hand-formed CW using straight key, sideswiper, or bug, and to my knowledge, all of us are willing to slow down as slow as you need.

I've had the privilege of being the first CW QSO for several newbies at speed as low as 3 WPM. Most members QSO at around 12 to 16 WPM but will gladly slow down instantly for you.

The group is very active and we have a sked page where you can arrange QSOs with people around the world on the spot.

You can read all about it here: skccgroup.com/

@LGsMom @shuttersparks @SrRochardBunson I just got my SKCC number last week! I now have to find my straight key. A few times last week, I dug through old boxes looking for it. If I don’t find it before my new xmit antenna goes up, I’ll get another one.
