One reality is that we are going to successfully decarbonize the energy system. The explosive growth of renewables is unstoppable.
The other reality is we can no longer avoid the impacts of some #climatechange and we have to do what we can to minimize the suffering and loss.

@petergleick It will be unstoppable. I can't help but laugh at states in the U.S.A. that are trying to ban electric vehicles in order to keep the oil business going.
No small number of politicians here have even begun to grasp what is coming and that's not good if they are to lead us. I'd love to have a discussion with them.
