@rmattila74@mastodo.fi @aral I believe that in Switzerland fines are a percentage of your net worth. Hence the news story of a guy busted for speeding in his Lambo and the fine was more than the car had cost him.

In Denmark, for serious traffic offenses, the vehicle will be forfeit. Owned, rented or borrowed, doesn't matter.
Probably still hurts the poor more than the rich. But there was this Norwegian who just bough a Lambo in Germany. He almost made it to the ferry home. Almost.

I'll bet he won't make that mistake again. Two mistakes, actually: driving a cop-magnet and breaking traffic laws.
