@black_intellect Imagine that.
Connecticut troopers falsified data on traffic stops reported to racial profiling board, audit says
The rate limiting incident in Twitter isn't really what pushed me over to use Mastodon more and more. Currently there is a hashtag on Twitter related to the French riots that's calling on the expulsion of all Muslim, African, and Arab immigrants from the entirety of Europe. The entirety and trending hashtag (at #2) is filled with images encouraging mass killings and lynchings of Arabs. There is no come back from this.
@freemo @TruthSandwich Got it.
@freemo @TruthSandwich In which language? In German, gift is poison.
@freemo @TruthSandwich I'm good at doing that.
@freemo @TruthSandwich Bahahaha.
So I was almost right.
@TruthSandwich I posted a comment and nothing. This happens at my end more frequently than I'd like. Spectrum is fast and solid most of the time, but it will suddenly quit dead for several minutes, then continue. No explanation. So I copied the text into a post-it note thingy I have and went to do other things. Turns out it did post.
I'm sure Freemo will give us a post-mortem.
"Disk full. Unable to complete request."
@TruthSandwich Yeah, I thought I broked it. I hit Toot! and splat. Haha. Perhaps we'll learn what blew up.
As of today, all 122 NWS stations that the University of Iowa created rss feeds for are now published on Mastodon. The best way to find them is to search for "iembot_" and the three letter assigned to the NWS forecast office. In addition, the NHC Atlantic Officeis published at @iembot_nhc_atlantic . These are not official bots from the NWS or University of Iowa. There were put together by a group of "weather intensive" people in order to inform like minded Mastodon users of weather forecasts and other reports that the National Weather Service in the US sends out.
@SrRochardBunson Hitler didn't expect the U.S. to go to war, and if they did he expected the U.S. to join Germany. After all, he got his ideas on racial-cleansing, eugenics, euthanasia, from the U.S. These things were a big deal in the U.S. from the late 1800s into the 1930s.
@ai6yr Bahahaha. Well characterized.
@jstevenyork @mastodonmigration @davidaugust Exactly.
@antonioserrata Exactly, with the unspoken implication that they're justified because liberals are oppressing them. They paint themselves as the wronged party and God is on their side so whatever awful things they do is justified.
@Deglassco @blackmastodon@a.gup.pe @BlackMastodon@chirp.social Yes, and the Republicans want to overturn it.
