“Telecommunications in multiple NWT communities are severely disrupted due to wildfire activity in the southern NWT. ..."

THIS is why we need to keep pushing for better ham radio emergency communications (equipment, antenna, radio rooms, expense reimbursement, education) within the PREOC centers in every area. Some scary photos coming out of Hay River tonight.

David McCormick is gearing up for a Senate run in Pennsylvania. But he lives in Connecticut. Tommy Tuberville lives in Florida but he represents Alabama as senator. Citizens didn't used to put up w/ this #chicanery but now they do.

@MoiraEve

Dr. Oz didn't live in Pennsylvania. He's back to being a pill shill.

Josh Hawley doesn't live in Missouri.

Mark Meadows registered to vote using a derelict trailer home in North Carolina.

@br00t4c So I'm guessing the English are not penalized for installing solar power like people are in parts of the U.S.A.

@Npars01 @noondlyt I doubt many do. We can discount what they may have said in court to minimize their sentence. Their defense attorney told them to say that.

I'll bet most of them see being in prison as proof that the they were right, that they were imprisoned by the corrupt government they tried to overthrow.

Nestle makes enormous profits each year and faces no legal accountability for stealing water. Now coffee empire Starbucks has struck a multibillion dollar deal with Nestle. We ask you to join the movement to #BoycottStarbucks, #BoycottNestle, and boycott all of their products. Nestle profits from water theft, habitat destruction, child slavery, & plastic pollution – don't support them!

Take and share the pledge.

@oliphant Earlier today I said the same thing to myself regarding Close to the Edge (Yes).

@georgetakei Hahaha. You'll have that when you put a bunch of smart, literate, creative people together.

@vivsternz @Adrenochrome Neat! Thanks to ice crystals left behind in rocket exhaust. Used to see these frequently in Los Angeles after launches from Vandenberg. Occasionally there would be a sundog rainbow effect but I never saw this form of it.

@owlbear PayPal has also become infected with this disease. Logging in from the phone app is a whole adventure.

@brewsterkahle Well, what do you expect from a business composed of (mostly) talentless people who profit off the talents of others? That's what they do. They monetize art created by others. They've always been like this.

@cat_static Also flies in the face of the Constitution -- Separation of Powers, etc. Department of State / foreign policy is Executive Branch, not Legislative Branch.

Republican treason (2015 version)

"I cannot recall another instance in which senators wrote directly to advise another country - much less a long-time foreign adversary - that the president does not have the constitutional authority to reach a meaningful understanding with them" - VP Biden

Went out tonight and saw more satellites than Perseids. Thanks *so* much, Elon.

@lovelylovely Exactly. Where's the special counsel or Inspector General investigation of Kushner, the Saudis, and a certain $2 billion.

What's more important, dick pics or $2 billion from a foreign government to the son-in-law of a sitting U.S. President?
