When the first cases of #COVID was reported on #NavajoNation it was March 16-17,2020. The cases came from the small community of Chilchinbito not far from Kayenta, #arizona

A few days later, President Nez invited me to drive to Kayenta to deliver supplies. Chilchinbito was cut off in order to try to isolate the virus. Where those EMT’s are is the entrance into the community.

Nez went from having COVID town halls everyday, to 2x’s a week then once a week. Tomorrow will be his last town hall.

@rashmi@www.blabbergoats.com I see you are following only 3 and only have 2 followers.

I would suggest following quite a few people who post things that are interesting to you and interact with them. Some will follow back. Other users will see your conversations and follow you.

Another approach is to follow hashtags and to put hashtags in your posts so people can find them. This will create more interaction for you too.

Telegram, TikTok and Twitter were used to push election fraud narratives in Brazil which led to an insurrection. In the case of Twitter, they cut out the middle man and the CEO himself was posting election fraud conspiracies on the site days before.

Elon Musk fired Twitter's entire staff in Brazil except a few salespeople.

Among those fired: "eight people who moderated content on the platform in order to catch posts that broke its rules against incitement to violence and misinformation."

Last quarter, American corporations took home about 10% more than they did the same time a year ago.

Folks, price gouging is driving inflation, not wages or government spending.

Actions to take (my opinion, not official):
1. If you live BELOW any of the canyons or near a flood channel/river below, be ready to evacuate (be aware of routes that may be impacted by flood waters). Consider evacuating EARLIER rather than while there is an astronomical amount of rain moving.
2. DO NOT TRAVEL during the storm; you're generally a lot safer OFF THE ROADS during extreme rainfall (most deaths are from drowning in vehicles in the US).

Guess where the trees are blocking the roads. And given the hour I took these they're not getting cleared tonight. We're expecting more 65MPH gusts again tonight so I'm sure more downed trees & power outages ~ hopefully not 300K homes like last night, 63K of which still don't have power. ~ we got lucky and our power came back on at 4am. The posh people with the bigger tree center-right didn't until 5pm

@atomicpoet Elmo drove a million to Mastodon, but not just any random million, but a million of the most thoughtful, aware, switched-on, and interesting people on Twitter. He lobotomized Twitter and this is going to have long-term effects.

I check Twitter every week or two. Within 5 minutes I've already had enough and log out.

His actions also scared the crap out of people and organizations who use(d) Twitter for emergency communication and coordination. It's no longer a trustworthy platform. The result of this will evolve slowly because those organizations are now making other plans and it takes time to redesign their infrastructure and implement it.

So now we know why Bolsonaro high-tailed it out of Brazil right after the election. Trying to establish "plausible deniability" for the coup attempt, plus put himself out of reach of Brazil's law enforcement.

Seems like Rep. Santos isn't the only one who should worry about the US-Brazil extradition treaty.

@matt Yeah, fortunately I'm not affected by SAD. But a friend I've known for over 25 years suffers from seasonal affective disorder, yet they remain here.

I'm an indoor person so I just laugh at the silly weather or sometimes get annoyed when the cold, dreary drizzles go on for days and you can't get anything outside done. The mucky mud doesn't even have time to dry and it's drizzling again. If I were an outdoors type I simply wouldn't live here. The weather is ridiculous.

GRU Nazi Jack Posobiec trolls Joaquin Castro by ridiculously comparing Jair Bolsanaro to an asylum seeker instead of a dictator and a transnational criminal.
Twitter: “This you?”
Telegram: “Look at this piece of shit.”

Bolsonaro should be immediately arrested and extradited.
